In the rapidly progressive era that we live in, technology is present in nearly everyone's daily life- so there is no surprise that technology is becoming a prominent outlet for education. Putting technology to use in the classroom is much more than an instructor posting grades on an online platform. Technology can be integrated into lessons in order to enhance learning. Through the SAMR Model, teachers can be sure that their students gain the most benefits from technology in their classroom by using Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, and Redefinition. Substitution, where technology acts as a direct tool substitute with no functional change, and augmentation, where technology acts as a direct tool substitute with full functional improvement, are great starting points for integrating technology into the classroom. These benefits can increase even more through modification, where technology allows for significant task redesign, and redefinition, where technology allows for the creation of new tasks that were previously inconceivable. Creativity can truly have no boundaries when the creator has access to technological tools for both the dreaming of and execution of their ideas.
